I was born in the Philippines but was raised in California since I was two. I love California, I think it's a beautiful place. I was born with a bad case of wanderlust, my parents dragged us all over the country and I had been to about forty out of fifty states before I started highschool.

Travel, photography, writing, art, outdoor sports (hiking, tennis, kayaking, etc.). Does eating count...? I love food.

The people and the places I travel to. I'm inspired by stories and photography.

Oh, where do I start..? Apathy. It's impossible to change people, especially when our world view is so limited, but if everyone cared a lot more about the world and people around them everything would change. You see enough individuals making an impact, imagine every single person on this earth wanting to make a difference.

The coolest place I've been to is Tromsø, Norway to see the northern lights. I'm really glad that everyone in Scandinavia spoke fluent English because nothing reads the way we normally sound it out in English, the symbols and accents on the letters were quite a mystery. We stayed at this remote cabin on a farm just outside of the city and one night we saw the Aurora Borealis - it was beautiful.

I would go anywhere and everywhere. Every place has its charm, and the places I daily conspire to go to change with alarming frequency.

I love the ease and the excitement of urban places but my heart really goes into palpitations for nature. The Earth is full of places that take your breath away. As you can guess, I'm a huge fan of the series Planet Earth and Blue Planet.

I'm not a fan of hotels, I love renting a place/room from a local. They are a wealth of information.

I always try to prepare with maps, but almost always fall back on the advice of locals. Hospitality is amazing.

I had no environmental philosophy until I went to Berkeley for college. It opened my eyes, and I believe that there really is no such thing as a small, meaningless act when it comes to living green. That means recycling everything I possibly can, supporting local farmers markets, not wasting my food (finishing everything or packing it to go), and taking public transportation when I can (a considerable challenge in LA).
